Today is a good day. I found out my wife is pregnant again with our second child a few weeks ago but I have been reluctant to go public because I do not wish to jinx us. I am building a new deck on my house and a swing set for the kids. However, since I bought the materials it has rained every day so zero work is taking place yet. I am working on some relatively complex data loading problems for work and am taking a break to have a go at my blog. I have been remiss in not updating regularly but I will try to do better.

Why is it that because a few catholic priest are accused of child molestation that an entire instituition is called into question. It would be interesting to see the actual percentage of priests that have been accused and/or convicted compared to the actual number of priests in the US. To say that celibacy caused a priest to be a child molester is the same as saying that being single makes one more apt to be a rapist. There are multitudes of priest that do nothing but good for society and it is a sad state of affairs that allows the actions of a very few to stain the reputation of the many.

Today is tax day in America. Millions of Americans are running around expounding on how much money the government is going to give them as a refund. I wonder if anyone realizes the actual tax burden that the American public supports. When I include all taxes that are assessed from all different areas, (some disguised as fees) and and in my state,local and federal income tax I am paying right at 53% of my money to government. <\rant>

I realize that it has been awhile since I have posted but I am afraid that if I do it I will become addicted and get less work done than I already do. Allow myself to introduce myself. My name is John and I live in Calera, OK and work at a company that manufactures silicon wafers. I am a computer programmer. I have a wife and 3 kids and enjoy playing with my family, flying, huning and golf.
